Established in 2016, the Rancho La Quinta Education Fund is a vital bridge between potential and success for the dedicated individuals who make the Rancho La Quinta Country Club exceptional. Funded entirely by the voluntary donations of club members, the program is built on gratitude and a shared investment in our community.

The fund provides financial assistance to Rancho La Quinta employees, their spouses, and their dependent children pursuing higher education. By removing financial barriers, it empowers recipients to achieve their academic and professional dreams.

To ensure an objective, non-discriminatory application process, the fund operates under the IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt umbrella of the Desert Scholarship Foundation. Every dollar donated goes directly toward helping the families of Rancho La Quinta.

​What Can We, The Membership, Do? 

​The membership of Rancho La Quinta plays a vital role in the Rancho La Quinta Education Fund, primarily by acting as the engine of financial and emotional support for the club's employees and their families.
 
The fund is fueled by the generosity of the membership to show appreciation for the staff who serve them daily.
  • Voluntary Donations: Members can make charitable donations through the Desert Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
  • Diverse Giving Options: Support can come through one-time gifts, credit card donations, IRA rollovers, Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) or by naming the foundation as a beneficiary in life insurance policies.
  • Appreciated Securities: Members can also donate long-term appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds.
