Club Policies

Guest Policy & Arrival

• Sponsorship: All guests must be officially sponsored by an active Member or authorized Club personnel.  
• Frequency Limit: Sponsored guests are welcome to use the Rancho La Quinta facilities up to six (6) times per calendar year and are subject to all applicable guest fees.  
• Fitness & Pool Facilities: Guests wishing to utilize the gym or pool facilities must ensure their sponsoring Member has contacted the Administrative Offices in advance to issue a Guest Card.  
• Arrival Check-In: Upon arrival, guests should check in at the respective facility pro shop (Golf or Racquets) or front desk to confirm their sponsorship and complete registration.

Club-Wide Dress Code Guidelines

• Shirts & Shoes: Required at all times across all club properties, except within the immediate main pool area.  
• Prohibited Everywhere: Tank tops, bare midriffs, cut-offs, tattered/frayed/distressed clothing, or exposed swimwear without a proper cover-up are strictly prohibited.  
• Denim Policy: High-quality, clean denim in good repair (no rips, tears, or fraying) is permitted at the Clubhouse and specific dining areas, but is strictly prohibited on the golf courses, practice facilities, and racquet courts.  

Area-Specific Attire

• Gentlemen:
  • Collared shirts (traditional or mock turtleneck style) are required and must be tucked in at all times.  
  • Bermuda-length golf shorts or tailored slacks are permitted.  
  • Hats and visors must be worn with the bill facing forward.
  • Prohibited: Denim, t-shirts, athletic/gym shorts, tennis/pickleball attire, and cargo shorts.
• Ladies:
  • Golf shirts must feature either a collar (traditional/mock) or sleeves.  
  • Slacks, golf skirts, skorts, or dresses must be no shorter than mid-thigh length.
  • Leggings or tights are only permitted if worn underneath an appropriate golf skirt or dress.
• Footwear: Approved golf shoes (soft spikes only) or flat-soled athletic shoes are mandatory.

• Tennis & Pickleball Courts:
  • Proper tennis or court attire is required. Shirts and shoes must remain on at all times.  
  • Gentlemen may wear tennis shirts with or without collars. Cotton t-shirts with non-RLQ graphic prints are not permitted.
  • Regulation, non-marking court shoes are required to preserve the court surfaces.
• Fitness Center:
  • Appropriate gym attire and athletic closed-toe footwear must be worn.  
  • Men’s tank tops and excessively revealing gym clothing are prohibited.
• Pool Area:
  • Standard swimwear is permitted strictly within the wood-fenced main pool perimeter.
  • Appropriate cover-ups and shoes must be put on immediately when transitioning away from the pool area to locker rooms or dining venues.  

Technology & Mobile Device Policy

• Silence Devices: All mobile phones and devices must be set to silent or vibrate upon entering club grounds.
• Data vs. Verbal Use: Non-verbal communication (texting, emailing) is permitted. Verbal phone conversations are strictly limited to outdoor areas, inside parked vehicles, or designated private areas.
• Social Media: Posting photos or videos identifying the club, its members, or guests to public social media platforms is restricted to respect the privacy of our community.

Club-Wide Decorum

Rancho La Quinta Country Club is built upon a foundation of mutual respect, kindness, and professionalism. Members, guests, and staff alike are expected to treat one another with the utmost courtesy and consideration at all times, preserving a welcoming and harmonious community environment. By fostering an atmosphere of shared respect, sportsmanship, and polite decorum across all facilities, we maintain the high standards of hospitality and camaraderie that define the RLQ experience.
