Justin is originally from Temperance, MI, and is a graduate of Ferris State University. Justin has been a member of the team at RLQ since 2008 and is now in his 16th season at the club. He is a PGA Certified Professional in Golf Operations as well as a TPI Certified Professional. While not on the golf course, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife, Melissa, and daughter, Ellie. Born and raised in a suburb of Detroit and an alum of Michigan State University, this season will mark Matt’s 6th at RLQ. When not golfing or following Michigan State football and basketball, he enjoys skiing, cooking, laughing with his wife Alison and the visiting with people who mean the most to him. He looks forward to another exciting season with the Members. Lesson Rate: $125 hour / $65 half

Nicklaus grew up in the Coachella Valley and spent most of his teenage years playing golf aspiring to play at the highest level. He contributed to the College of the Desert win in the 2018 PCAC Title in college golf as a freshman. Nicklaus is in his second year at RLQ. Away from the course, Nicklaus enjoys reading and collecting watches. He looks forward to a great season at RLQ. Lesson Rate: $110 hour/$60 half

Kurt was born and raised in Santa Cruz, CA, and began playing golf at the age of 4. Prior to relocating to the desert, Kurt worked as a business consultant in Lafayette, CO and San Diego, CA. This is Kurt’s second year as a Golf Professional. Prior to joining the PGA Program, Kurt competed in multiple golf tournaments including the Troon Amateur Series, U.S. Open qualifiers, and the SoCal Open. Kurt played football at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas while studying entrepreneurship. Outside his professional interest he travels widely and enjoys hosting gatherings with friends. Lesson Rate: $110 hour/$60 half

James grew up in the busy town of Pasadena, CA, and has been working in the golf industry and playing competitively for most of his adult life. This will be James second year at RLQ. He spends most of his free time with his family, his 14-year-old daughter, Charlotte, and helping his fiancé, Brianna, pursue her career as a Touring Golf Professional. When not on the golf course, James enjoys cooking, gardening, going on hikes in the mountains and snorkeling at the beach. Lesson Rate: $110 hour/$60 half

Kevin attended Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI, earning degrees in PGA Golf Management and a BS in Business. Most of his early career has been focused on teaching the game. From 2017 – 2020, Kevin taught for Golf Schools by Golf Made Simple at nine locations across the US. Kevin spent two winters working at Monterey Country Club and two summers at Sand Valley Golf Resort. Kevin also spent nine months as Assistant Caddie Master at Tara Iti Golf Club in New Zealand. A casual sports fan, he supports the Detroit Lions, LSU Football, Chelsea FC, Celtic FC and the Seattle Kraken. Kevin has a passion for photography and travel, recently completing a two-and-a-half month backpacking trip where he traveled to 10 countries over three continents. Along his journey, Kevin took more than 2,000 photos. When not playing golf, you may find Kevin hiking on one of the many trails that the Coachella Valley has to offer. Pete comes to RLQ from Bothell, WA, where he is on the Golf Professional Staff at Bear Creek Country Club. Pete also served as a high school golf coach for two seasons prior to working at Bear Creek. He enjoys working with high-handicap golfers on the mental aspects of the game, mainly controlling emotions and not trying to play above your ability via 6-hole and 9-hole playing lessons. Away from the Club, Pete is usually out golfing on his days off trying to play as many courses as possible. He’s a diehard fan of the Edmonton Oilers, Texas Rangers, and also enjoys reading books about history and political science. Lesson Rate: $110 hour/ $60 half

Jean is originally from Grand Rapids, MI. Jean has the longest tenure amongst the golf staff with this being her 28th year at RLQ. As a resident of the valley since 1983, Jean has also worked at the Vintage Club in Indian Wells.
